Convenient location near public transportation, nearby food options, close proximity to downtown attractions

The parking situation is cramped!!! Expect noisy nights if your room faces the street. Staffing levels felt inadequate for the size of the hotel. Floors and carpets need serious attention!!!

Close to the downtown. Near of public transportation and a nice bar beside.

Housekeeping don't exist. They just take off the trash inside the trashcan and change a towel, nothing more, nothing less. If you leave some piece of paper on the floor, the paper stay there for all time.

The position was great, right by a tram station.

I had a wonderful time at Downtown Value Inn. The location offered easy access to downtown and great comfort in our room. Just a bit of tight parking, but the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating were good. Highly recommend for budget travelers!

Thank you for a good stay. The hotel is overall clean and has pretty nice rooms and comfortable beds. The rooms are a nice size and include a microwave oven and a fridge. It has very very helpful and really helpful employees.

I loved the easy walking access to the street cars and MAX transportation system. Staff was friendly.

Noises from outside could be clearly heard--constantly woken up during night. Sink would not drain properly and there was no stopper. There was no clock radio. Didn't smell good.

I had a huge room with a great workspace, super important for me. The large window overlooked downtown, and the staff were nice. I loved having a bar and a pizza place right downstairs. Plus, food carts were really close. This stay was way better than my previous experience at a hipster hotel with shared bathrooms.

Friendly Staff, access to Portland downtown on foot or street car (right outside the door) or 'train' right outside the door. Portland State University is right there next to you as well. Rooms are clean and basic and serve purpose just fine excepting that there is a distinct need for soundproofing.

Soundproofing is needed, we could clearly hear the hotel neighbors on the other side of the wall.

The only positive thing about the hotel was the closeness to downtown.

Unattentitive personel, catastrophical maidservice, freezing room. Even though we nagged about clogged toilet, nonexisting maidservice nothing happened, beware of this hotel, they don't deserve your money.

The location is perfect for exploring downtown portland, just steps away from food carts and bars. Compared to my previous hotel experience in portland, this place offered so much more comfort and convenience!

the shower had inconsistent hot water.

The place had a great atmosphere with a nice bar downstairs. The staff was attentive. I appreciated the free Wi-Fi for planning my days. It was close to several food carts with plenty of options. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The room is large with very comfortable bed, the hotel features a downstairs bar onsite.

besides the location, everything was horrible!

the smell / the guy in the front desk / the stairs / the room / the bathroom were disgusting!

Convenient Location, but Noisy Ambiance

We enjoyed the great location near the Oregon Historical Museum and Portland State University. A tip , request a room in the newer section for a quieter stay.

Good location and even though I didn't feel like it was the best place ever, for the money I've paid it was worth it.

It's a bit noisy (walls really thin) and overall looks a bit old.
